Working Process

  1. Film Unwinding & Slitting: Master film roll is unwound with constant tension control and precision-slit into multiple strips.

  2. Tube Forming: Each film strip is shaped around a stainless steel forming tube.

  3. Vertical Sealing: Heated vertical seal bars seal the rear overlap of each stick.

  4. Auger Dosing: Servo augers dispense precise powder charges into each formed tube.

  5. Horizontal Sealing & Cooling: Cross seal jaws seal top/bottom seams and apply tear notches.

  6. Cutting & Discharge: Flying knives or die-cut punches separate sticks onto the discharge conveyor.

Applications

  • Hospitality & Condiments: Table sugar, brown sugar, raw cane sugar, table salt, pepper, sweetener (sucralose/stevia).

  • Beverage & Healthcare: Granulated tea, effervescent granules, herbal granules, electrolyte crystals.

FAQ

Q1: What dosing system is used, and how accurate is it for granular products?

A: We primarily employ a multi-lane volumetric telescopic cup dosing system, which is cost-effective, durable, and delivers high operational speeds. For standard free-flowing granules like sugar, salt, or erythritol, dosing accuracy is maintained within ±1% to ±1.5%.

Q2: How is the fill weight adjusted on a volumetric cup granule machine?

A: Fill weight can be adjusted globally across all lanes using a centralized height-adjustment handwheel (or servo screw) on the dosing disc. Fine-tuning for individual lanes can be performed quickly via individual calibration screws.

Q3: Will fragile or crystallized granules break or crush during the packaging process?

A: No. Our dosing paths and telescopic chutes are polished to a mirror finish with optimized slope angles. The drop gates open smoothly to allow gravity-assisted dropping, preventing crystalline fragmentation of products like sea salt, crystal sugar, or effervescent granules.

Q4: How does the machine handle roll film changeover at high production speeds?

A: To minimize downtime on lines producing 300+ sticks per minute, the machine includes an integrated manual film splicing platform and dual reel shafts. Operators can prepare and tape the standby film roll in advance, enabling roll splices in under 60 seconds.

Q5: Can the machine produce perforated multi-stick chains (e.g., strips of 5 or 10 sticks)?

A: Yes. Through the touchscreen recipe settings, you can program batch perforation cuts (e.g., cutting 4 perforated sticks joined together followed by 1 full separation cut), which is ideal for retail multipacks or promotional strips.

Q6: Can this machine be integrated into a downstream secondary packaging line?

A: Yes. LTC provides complete turnkey solutions. The output can seamlessly link with our multi-lane collating conveyors, dynamic checkweighers, and automated stick-pack cartoning machines to form a continuous packaging line from raw bulk material to boxed finished goods.
